Alpha Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated-Alpha Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter is located in the city of DeRidder, Louisiana, “We Dwell in Possibilities”. Affectionately called the “DeRidder Zetas”, AABZ Chapter was chartered on August 26, 2013 and held their charter ceremony on October 19, 2013 at Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated Southern Region Area VI Workshop on the campus of University of Louisiana at Lafayette-Bourgeois Hall, Lafayette, Louisiana. On January 24, 2014, AABZ introduced the chapter to the DeRidder community.
The first of the Divine Nine to charter in DeRidder, Louisiana, AABZ Chapter is the second four-lettered chapter chartered in the sorority and the first four-lettered chapter chartered in the Southern Region.
AABZ Chapter has adopted the motto “Only the Best Will Do”. We believe as a sisterhood, we need to DO OUR BEST at all times for our God, Family and Sorority. Since its inception, AABZ has continued to uphold the ideals of scholarship, service, sisterhood and finer womanhood In all our efforts, we are “Building on the Principles of Zeta While Blazing New Paths”.
Charter members are Georgia Louis, Charese L. Mack, Kimberly F. Miller, Lisa Marie Wilson, and Jacqueline Wilson-Woods. As the sorority moves toward its centennial in 2020, it retains its original zest for excellence. It espouses the highest academic ideals and that has resulted in its members serving in groundbreaking roles in all fields of endeavor. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. is poised for perpetual service to mankind into her second century and beyond.
